A Unified Voice For Housing Revitalization
The National Association for Housing Revitalization (NAHR) is a national 501(c)(6) trade association established to represent and advance the housing revitalization industry. NAHR brings organization, clarity, and leadership to the professionals and organizations working to identify, revitalize, and return aged, distressed, and vacant homes to the market as attainable housing.
Housing revitalization plays a critical role in expanding housing supply, supporting starter homes, and strengthening local housing markets. NAHR exists to ensure this work is understood, supported, and scalable through policy leadership.
Our Mission
The National Association for Housing Revitalization (NAHR) serves as the unified voice of the housing revitalization industry. Our mission is to drive meaningful policy change, establish professional standards, and unite the individuals and organizations working to identify, revitalize, and return vacant and distressed homes to the market as attainable housing.
Our Vision
NAHR will be the definitive national authority and unifying force for housing revitalization professionals—driving positive housing policy change, fostering innovation, and ensuring the long-term viability of housing revitalization as a solution to expanding housing supply nationwide.
Our Role
NAHR operates as the national trade association for housing revitalization professionals. We do not perform revitalization work ourselves; instead, we represent the industry, coordinate engagement, and set the frameworks that allow revitalization to function at scale.
Our Role
- Representing housing revitalization professionals in state and federal policy discussions
- Convening industry leaders to align priorities and share insight
- Establishing professional standards that bring clarity and consistency across markets
- Providing resources that support responsible operations and informed decision-making through industry collaboration
Our Core Values
Leadership
NAHR is governed by a board of industry leaders committed to strengthening housing revitalization and advancing responsible policy leadership. Board representation spans multiple sectors of the housing and real estate ecosystem, including Home Depot, JP Morgan Chase and New Western.
